The clinical instructor implements the college's philosophy, curriculum, and objectives through clinical teaching and service, planning clinical experiences and providing direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students. Responsibilities also include developing written clinical assignments, grading student work in a timely manner, and keeping the course coordinator informed of student and agency issues.

Requirements summary

Candidates must possess a master's or doctoral degree in nursing and hold an unencumbered professional nursing license in delaware, along with at least two years of professional experience as a registered nurse within the last five years in the area of instruction. Teaching or precepting experience is preferred, and an illinois rn license will be required to teach all courses.
