The clinical instructor implements the college's philosophy and curriculum through clinical teaching, providing direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering care. Responsibilities also include developing assignments, grading written work promptly, and keeping the course coordinator informed of student and agency issues.

Candidates must possess a master's or doctoral degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution and hold an unencumbered professional nursing license in oregon. A minimum of two years of professional experience as a registered nurse in the area of instruction within the last five years is required, with teaching or precepting experience being preferred.
