The clinical instructor implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, and objectives through clinical teaching and service, planning clinical experiences, and providing direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students. Responsibilities also include evaluating student performance, being available for remediation, maintaining knowledge of agency policies, developing assignments, and grading student work.
Candidates must possess a master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution and hold an unencumbered professional nursing license in Oklahoma. A minimum of two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse is required, though teaching or precepting experience is preferred.
