Position Summary
Barrett Hospital & HealthCare invites applications for a PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) - PEDS - to join our dynamic Rehabilitation Services team with an outpatient pediatric-focused caseload. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled clinician with a strong foundation in evidence-based pediatric evaluation and intervention, dedicated to promoting independence, participation, and quality of life for children across developmental stages through meaningful, play- and occupation-centered care.
As part of our interdisciplinary team, the pediatric OT will collaborate closely with rehab team members, physicians, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge across the pediatric scope of OT practice, which may include but is not limited to developmental assessment and intervention, fine and gross motor skill development, sensory processing, self-care and ADL training, adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, cognitive and social-emotional skill development, and family education and support.
A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently. With the support of management, the therapist will work to publicize their services, and grow the caseload. Caseload development will involve proactive marketing, community engagement, and networking with referral sources to meet the needs of the population we serve. Ideal candidates are self-driven, adaptable, and eager to shape their role within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s or Doctorate degree from an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) accredited Occupational Therapy program. Candidates must be able to produce documentation of passing the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Must be eligible to acquire or currently possess an active Montana State license in Occupational Therapy from the Montana Board of Occupational Therapy Practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must have a background in Pediatric Occupational Therapy
