The clinical instructor implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, and objectives through clinical teaching and service, while planning clinical experiences and providing direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering patient care. Responsibilities also include developing written clinical assignments, grading student work in a timely manner, and keeping the course coordinator informed of student and agency issues.
Candidates must possess a Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution and hold an unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Florida. A minimum of two years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse within the last five years in the area of instruction is required, though teaching or precepting experience is preferred.
