Nurse Extern 1-6011

The nurse extern performs skilled clinical duties under the direct supervision of a registered nurse to bridge the gap between classroom learning and clinical practice. Responsibilities include patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, documentation in the ehr, and assisting with activities of daily living.

Candidates must be enrolled in or have completed an accredited nursing program and hold a current bls certification. Depending on the level, specific semester completion or an active lpn license is required to perform clinical tasks.
