Under the direction of the Preschool Director, the Preschool Teacher creates a safe, nurturing learning environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. Using age-appropriate curriculum and activities aligned with our YMCA values of Honesty, Caring, Responsibility, Respect, and Faith, the Preschool Teacher fosters positive relationships, promotes inclusion, and collaborates with a Teacher Assistant and team members to ensure a high-quality early childhood program.
Essential Responsibilities Lead age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
Supervise and engage children, ages 3–5.
Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members.
Track and communicate children’s progress.
