Core responsibilities
The speech language pathology assistant implements treatment plans and provides therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed slp. They are also responsible for documenting student progress, preparing instructional materials, and collaborating with educational staff to support student goals.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders or a related field, with completion of an approved slpa training program preferred. Previous experience working with children in an educational or therapeutic setting is highly desirable.
