Job description

Description The Academy of Our Lady of Peace is currently accepting applications for a Novice Soccer Head Coach for the upcoming season. This is a seasonal coaching position within a competitive CIF girls soccer program. We are looking for a coach who is passionate about developing players at the foundational level while creating a positive and inclusive team culture. This role is essential in introducing student-athletes to the program and preparing them for future success within OLP Soccer.

  • Responsibilities include: Planning and conducting practices, training, and competitions. Teaching sport-specific skills, strategies, and sportsmanship. Ensuring athlete safety, supervision, and proper conduct at all team activities. Communicating professionally with athletes, families, and school personnel. Collaborating with the Athletic Department on scheduling, uniforms/equipment, transportation, and facilities. Supporting academic success, character development, and positive team culture. Complying with all OLP, CIF, and league rules and completing required certifications (including LiveScan and CPR/First Aid). Attending required meetings and assisting with inventory, equipment, and uniform procedures. These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. Requirements / Qualifications: Prior soccer coaching experience preferred Strong understanding of skill development and team concepts Ability to positively impact and mentor female student-athletes Applicants must have: Current TB test CPR/AED and First Aid Certification Livescan background clearance Required Documents & Pre-Employment Requirements: Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and two professional references from current or former supervisors. Candidates must also provide official transcripts, a current negative TB test result or TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire, complete required training, and successfully complete Livescan fingerprinting. Employment is contingent upon obtaining fingerprint clearance from the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
