Adelphi is seeking a substitute Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/ Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide nursing support services in a school setting located in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will assist in delivering student care under established protocols while collaborating with school staff and supervising RNs.

  • Perform routine clinical procedures (vitals, glucose checks, inhaler/nebulizer support)
  • Administer medications as allowed by licensure and school policy
  • Implement existing care plans (IHPs/EAPs) but does not create or modify them
  • Support health office operations and maintain a safe clinical environment
  • Assist with infection control and communicable disease monitoring
  • Participate in emergency response and student stabilization
  • Report and escalate more complex conditions to the RN
  • Any other duties as assigned
