Teacher Assistant (The Hope Academy)

The teacher assistant supports the lead teacher in creating a culturally responsive learning environment and implementing curriculum for students with diverse needs. They also assist with individual and small group instruction, data collection, and the implementation of individual education plans (Ieps).

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed a state-Approved teacher assistant training program. Passage of the parapro assessment is also required, unless the candidate holds a degree or certification from another state.
