Job description

  • Overview Rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing direct mental health services and working with elementary, middle, and high school children.
  • This position will work in the Alton, IL school district and be based out of either our Granite City or Wood River, IL facility.
  • Monday-Friday, 8 hour, daytime shifts based around the schools operating hours.
  • The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $44,400 - $50,575 annual salary.
  • This role is Student Loan Repayment Eligible.
  • STATE LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM (SLRP)- The SLRP offers up to $50,000 in loan repayment for primary care providers working in HPSAs in Illinois.
  • We also provide clinical supervision for those wanting licensure.

Responsibilities

Provide consumer-driven services as identified in individualized treatment, recovery, and safety plans, ensuring services support students’ emotional, behavioral, and social development. Utilize evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and developmentally appropriate interventions based on students’ developmental stages. Deliver therapeutic and supportive services within the school environment, collaborating with teachers, administrators, and school staff to support student success. Refer and link students and families to additional services and community resources to address mental health, social, and family needs. Support students in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and resilience. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including school staff and other service providers, to coordinate care and ensure appropriate supports for students. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency, school, and regulatory requirements. Assume leadership roles by supporting collaboration between the school and behavioral health providers and promoting best practices in student mental health. Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field with at least 1,000 hours of supervised mental health experience. Valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance and be insurable. Basic computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and an electronic medical record (EMR).
