This role serves as a supportive team member in delivering high-quality educational and recreational experiences. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Assist Camp Counselors in planning and executing daily camp activities. Provide direct support and supervision to children throughout all camp sessions. Promote positive interactions, encourage friendships, and act as a positive role model for students. Foster a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants. Ensure adherence to all camp safety guidelines, policies, and procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe activity space, including care of equipment and supplies. Collaborate with fellow staff to support camp-wide activities and ensure smooth daily operations. Participate in required training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to the role. Confidentiality/Privacy compliance - Treats all student and employee information as sensitive and confidential. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all HIPAA regulations and requirements where applicable. Compliance - Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Reliable means of transportation to and from work QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be currently enrolled in High School at FUSD School. Enthusiasm for working with children in a camp setting. Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from senior staff. Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to lead by example. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred. Pre-hire, Onboarding, Ongoing Requirements COVID vaccination and/or approved exemption Mandated Reporter Training Sexual Harassment Prevention & Response Training Tuberculosis (TB) Test clearance provided by either skin, blood, or chest x-ray New hire orientation & I-9 document verification Additional Training & documentation as required Lingual & Literacy Assessments for language requirements as implemented 16+ years of age Currently enrolled in Fresno Unified School District (no charter schools) Work permit eligible (students can check with their high school
