The kids camp counselor is responsible for leading children aged three to twelve through various activities such as rock climbing, swimming, arts & crafts, and field trips while ensuring a high level of safety and fun. Duties include engaging campers, maintaining a positive role model attitude, and ensuring adherence to departmental budgets for supplies and snacks.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess one year of camp experience and complete the life time summer camp counselor certification before the season starts. Required certifications include first aid and infant/Child and adult cpr/Aed, both needed within 60 days of hire, along with the physical ability to tolerate noise and frequently stand, walk, and climb ladders.
