Core responsibilities
The kids camp counselor leads children aged three to twelve through various activities including rock climbing, swimming, field trips, arts & crafts, and gym games, while incorporating nutrition education. They are responsible for engaging campers in interactive activities while maintaining a high level of safety and acting as a positive role model for a group of up to 10 children.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have one year of camp experience and complete the life time summer camp counselor certification before the season starts. First aid and infant/Child and adult cpr/Aed certifications are required within the first 60 days of hire, along with the ability to tolerate loud noises and frequently stand, walk, and reach.
