Job description

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary School.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work effectively as a team member with colleagues.
  • Flexible, dependable, and highly organized.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to design, implement, and evaluate individual behavior management systems.

Experience

  • Experience working with children with autism.
  • Knowledge of and experience with a variety of strategies for instruction for students with autism.
  • Knowledge and experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • Experience with the Picture Exchange Communication System.
  • Knowledge and experience using assistive technology.

Qualifications

  • Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
  • Special Education endorsement.
