  • Compensation: $24.00/hour Organization Description Roxbury Tenants of Harvard Association, Inc. (RTH) is a private 501(c)(3) multi-service nonprofit housing and human service organization. Founded in 1969 by Mission Hill residents and Harvard University students, RTH aims to preserve the unique character of the neighborhood while supporting its vibrant, diverse community. RTH provides high-quality, low- and moderate-income housing alongside a variety of programs and services designed to foster wellness, education, and community engagement. Our community includes over 1,100 housing units accommodating approximately 2,000 residents, with primary languages including English, Chinese, Spanish, and Russian. We offer resources such as a Community Center, fitness facilities, afterschool programs, and senior drop-in services, and we prioritize resident empowerment and tenant participation. RTH Mission "RTH seeks to develop, preserve, and maintain safe and affordable housing for low- and moderate-income people of diverse backgrounds in the RTH/Mission Hill neighborhood and to improve the quality of life for its residents." Summary of Role The Group Leader will manage assigned groups, implement educational curricula, and engage children in diverse activities, including arts, crafts, swimming, and outdoor events. The ideal candidate will prioritize the safety and care of children, maintain active participation in programs, and adhere to organizational policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Administrative Work closely with Site Coordinator to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum. Ensure and maintain quality of program and that it meets EEC Licensing Requirements, QRIS Standards, RTH standards and complies with all safety regulations.
  • Program responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervision of children, lesson planning and daily attendance. Keep safety as a first priority. Emphasize personal safety and emotional wellbeing of all staff, volunteers, memebers, students, families, and program participants using RTH classrooms and indoor/facility. Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the child care classroom. By personal example help interpret quailty of RTH core values of youth devlopment, healthy living and social responsiblity. Performs other duties as required by supervisor (remains flexible). Program Delivery Plan and execute daily activities aligned with weekly themes. Actively supervise and engage with children, ensuring their safety and participation. Emphasize respect, promote positive friendships, and encourage motivation. Facilitate and participate in program activities, including swimming. Maintain accurate records of attendance and communicate absences to parents. Conduct daily wellness checks for all participants. Respond effectively to emergencies and enforce RTH rules and safety policies. Ideal Candidate Attributes Models and teaches RTH core values. Builds relationships with empathy and clear communication. Qualifications

Must be EEC Group Leader qualified At least 18 years of age and meeting one of the requirements: Having a Bachelor's or an Associate's Degree, and three months working experience. Have a high school diploma or equivalent; and six months of work experience. Have nine months of experience with school age children including three months of supervised experience at a school age child program. Revelant college classes in Education or related field is preferred. Maintain current CPR certification and First Aid throughout employment. Availability Mondays-Fridays, and weekends as needed.
