• Barry University’s School of Nursing seeks a dynamic and innovative full-time (12-month) faculty member to join our interdisciplinary team of healthcare experts.
• This position will be dedicated to our undergraduate nursing programs (BSN).
• The program aims to prepare the next generation of nurses with a focus on social determinants of health and health promotion as it applies to clinical practice, education, research, and health policy.
• Essential Functions Teach undergraduate-level courses in the discipline and program core Participate in academic advising Provide student mentorship and advising.
• Engage in program, college, and university services Engage in scholarship Qualifications/Requirements An earned MSN degree is required; a doctorate in nursing or a related field is preferred from a regionally accredited institution.
• Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License Acute Care/ ICU Experience Required Evidence of distinguished teaching, scholarship, service, and student mentorship; preference given to those candidates eligible for appointment at the rank of assistant/ associate professor Strong clinical background and teaching experience preferred, particularly in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, and/or Health Assessment.
