The Educator uses the educational design process to close the knowledge, skills, and/or practice gaps identified through needs assessment and to impact evidence-based practice.
Presents self in a professional courteous manner.
Establishes and maintains professional rapport with the physicians and office staff.
Establishes and maintains good rapport with patients and significant other appropriately.
Customer Relations
Identifies self with name when answering the telephone.
Greets each patient by introducing self.
Responds appropriately to patient requests as they occur.
Reports all patient complaints to the Diabetes Education Coordinator as the occur.
Maintains strict patient confidentiality, with the exception of reporting all medical related information to the Diabetes Education Coordinator or Physician.
