Employee discounts Free uniforms Training & development Job Summary: Gold’s Aquatic Club is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual in competitive swimming to join our team to assist with our younger age groups. As an age group coach, you will be responsible for helping develop swimmers’ skills in all four strokes. Skills for the swimmers will range beginning proficiency in all four strokes to preparing for championship meets. You will provide guidance, instruction, and support to athletes while fostering a positive and inclusive team environment. As a head instructor, you will assist with training and overseeing instructors. If needed, will assist with lessons if staffing or help is warranted.
Qualifications
REQUIRED Swimming Experience: Background of year round swimming with proven ability to instruct drills and techniques. Bold Leadership: Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
Punctuality
Must come prepared and ready for all shifts on time.
Collaboration
Excellent communication, oral and written, and interpersonal skills.
Availability
- Ability to work from 3:00PM-8:30PM on weekdays and 7:00AM-12:00PM on

- Certification: Current Certification in lifeguarding, CPR, AED, and FIRST AID, and USA Swimming (or willingness to obtain upon hiring)

- Experience: 1-2 years of previous coaching experience in competitive swimming with a proven track record of success in developing swimmers at various levels.
Responsibilities
Exemplary Leadership: Help conduct regular practice sessions and provide on-deck coaching. Team player: Work closely with the head coach and other coaches for consistent coaching and program implementation. Be willing to help with lessons if needed Goal Setting: Guide and support swimmers in setting and achieving ambitious goals, implementing effective training plans for swimmers’ improvement Mentorship: Evaluate swimmers’ progress and provide individualized feedback Master Communicator: Communicate regularly with swimmers, parents, and club management. Ongoing Improvement: Stay updated with the latest coaching techniques and trends. Employee Excellence: Adhere to club policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Physical Requirements/Environment: Must be able to work in a wet environment with occasionally high noise levels. Must be able to move frequently through all areas of the pool deck. Your shifts include continuous engagement and interaction with swimmers and team members. Must be able to work evenings and weekends, with occasional travel to team events Daily duties include lifting, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time, and moving for prolonged periods of time. Required to demonstrate or explain proper physical activities, techniques and procedures.
