AUGUST 17, 2026- NOVEMBER 6, 2026 A Long-Term Substitute is responsible for teaching appropriate grade level standard-based curriculum to students, following school/district approved curriculum while the classroom teacher is absent for an extended period of time.

What You'll Do

  • Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement.
  • Monitors, supervises, coordinates, and enforces rule of conduct and behavior of assigned students and reinforces positive student behaviors in accordance with school and District policy.
  • Observes, evaluates, reports, and records students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
  • Prepares educational course outlines, objectives, and materials according to curriculum guidelines or state and local requirements.

  • What You’ll Need

    • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
