Job description
- The Lifeguard is responsible for upholding all aquatic facility policies, rules and regulations as well as recognizing and responding quickly and effectively in emergencies.
- WHAT YOU WILL DO Monitor pool and pool users at all times, ensure users are safe and no hazards are present.
- Uphold all aquatic facility policies, rules and regulations.
- Recognize and respond quickly to any emergencies that may arise.
- Assist with the opening and closing of the pool as needed.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
- WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED High School Diploma At least 1-3 years of experience and a valid Lifeguarding Certification from either the American Red Cross or other national organization certification in lifeguarding, first aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, faculty, and other constituencies.
