Job description

  • The Lifeguard is responsible for upholding all aquatic facility policies, rules and regulations as well as recognizing and responding quickly and effectively in emergencies.
  • WHAT YOU WILL DO Monitor pool and pool users at all times, ensure users are safe and no hazards are present.
  • Uphold all aquatic facility policies, rules and regulations.
  • Recognize and respond quickly to any emergencies that may arise.
  • Assist with the opening and closing of the pool as needed.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
  • WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED High School Diploma At least 1-3 years of experience and a valid Lifeguarding Certification from either the American Red Cross or other national organization certification in lifeguarding, first aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, faculty, and other constituencies.
