SAFE Counselor

The safe counselor ensures equitable access to academic instruction and supports student growth by implementing evidence-Based services and facilitating career development. They also serve on behavioral threat assessment, crisis response, and risk assessment teams to maintain a safe and supportive school environment.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and a special service provider (Ssp) license from the colorado department of education endorsed as a school counselor or school social worker. Proficiency in the american school counselor association (Asca) model and experience with behavioral threat assessment are required.
