Summary Selected participants, while enrolled in the Illinois Central College Radiographer Program, will work 4 hours/week in an eligible Radiology unit as a Radiology Apprentice and will also receive an apprentice bonus to help cover living expenses. Program Goal An Apprentice will have support for the academic progression and clinical competence by working beside an experienced OSF radiologic technologist to gain real clinical experience that will assist in successful completion of the radiography program before transitioning into a full-time Radiologic Technologist role at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. Eligibility Participants must be enrolled into the Illinois Central College Radiography program for the Summer 2026 semester.
The Radiography Apprentice program is for students who are accepted and enrolled into an accredited Radiography program. While in the accredited Radiography program the Radiography Apprenticeship will spend 8 hours each pay period (2, 4-hour shifts) participating in all Radiology Assistant duties.
Education: High School Diploma/ GED. Must be enrolled in the Illinois Central College accredited Radiography Program where an Associate Degree will be awarded with anticipated graduation in 2028.
