Key Responsibilities Design and deliver individualized exercise programs tailored to clients affected by breast cancer, including prehabilitation, active treatment, and post-treatment phases Safely modify workouts to account for surgery (e.g., mastectomy, lumpectomy), reconstruction, lymphedema risk, fatigue, neuropathy, and range-of-motion limitations Monitor client progress, symptoms, and tolerance to exercise, adjusting programs as needed Educate clients on safe movement, posture, strength training, and recovery strategies Maintain clear documentation of assessments, programs, and progress notes Collaborate with oncologists, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers when appropriate Provide emotional support and foster a supportive, inclusive, and empowering training environment Stay current with research and best practices in cancer exercise science

- QualificationsQualifications
- Required: Certified Personal Trainer (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent) Specialized certification or formal training in cancer exercise or breast cancer rehabilitation (e.g., ACSM Cancer Exercise Trainer, Cancer Exercise Specialist, Pink Ribbon Program, or equivalent) Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications related to breast cancer
- CPR/AED certification
- Preferred: Experience working directly with breast cancer survivors or oncology populations Background in corrective exercise, rehabilitation, or medical fitness Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Empathetic, patient-centered approach to coaching Upbeat and positive Punctuality and reliability is a must High School diploma/GED equivalent required
