About the role

The coach is responsible for planning and conducting practice sessions, teaching sports techniques, and monitoring athlete performance. They must also ensure the safety and well-being of students while maintaining a positive team culture.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions, conditioning programs, and competitive events.
  • Teach fundamental skills, strategies, and techniques specific to the sport.
  • Monitor and assess athletes’ performance, development, and fitness levels.
  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and academic balance of all team members.
  • Maintain discipline, respect, and positive team culture among athletes.
  • Scout and recruit potential athletes (if applicable).
  • Coordinate with athletic trainers, academic staff, and other coaches.
  • Maintain equipment, uniforms, and facilities related to the sport.
  • Adhere to all institutional, conference, and governing body rules and regulations.
