As a Teacher Assistant, you’ll work side-by-side with the classroom Teacher to create a language-rich, developmentally appropriate, safe, and engaging learning environment where children can learn, play, and grow with dignity and respect. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, caring, alert, and ready to jump in wherever needed—because in a great classroom, every moment matters. What You’ll Do (Essential Duties) Support the classroom curriculum by assisting with daily learning activities, play, socialization, routines, and transitions. Help maintain a developmentally appropriate, language-rich classroom by organizing materials, setting up learning spaces, and supporting active engagement. Provide close supervision at all times, keeping children within sight and sound and ensuring attendance tracking is accurate and present. Assist with meals and snacks, including sanitizing tables, helping children serve food, supporting feeding when needed, modeling table manners, and helping the room reset after meals. Support children with personal care and hygiene, including hand/face washing, diapering, potty training, nose wiping/blowing, and dressing as needed. Complete paperwork and documentation as directed. Perform cleaning and classroom upkeep duties as assigned. Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions, and contribute to continuous quality improvement goals. Participate in staff meetings, in-service trainings, and serve on committees as assigned. Take on other duties as needed to support children, families, and the team.
