Job description
- Extended Day Staff - Part Time St.
- Stephen's and St.
- Agnes School is looking for a dynamic staff member for our Lower School Extended Day Program.
- The employee will be working with students between the ages of 3-10 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
- Candidates must have experience working with school-age children in a group setting.
- Interactive supervision is paramount with all children.
- Degree in early childhood or a child related field preferred.
- Primary Responsibilities: Duties of this job include, but are not limited to: Implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
- Assists in planning, preparing, and implementing daily activities (indoor/outdoor).
- Greets each child in a warm and friendly manner.
- Interacts with the children and encourages their involvement in activities.
- Provides a warm, safe, and caring environment that is kept orderly, clean, and appealing.
- The environment should allow the child to grow and to explore.
- Responsible for the health, welfare, and safety of the children.
- Interacts appropriately and professionally with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
- Maintains adherence to all school policies and procedures, including safety requirements.
- Models professional standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and school.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the school administration.
- Education, Certifications, and Work Related Experience: High school diploma or higher (Bachelor's degree preferred) Must be willing and able to be CPR and First Aid certified Training and/or experience in early childhood education or child care is valued Technical Competencies and Skills: Can work independently and can work as part of a team Accepts responsibility and is self-motivated Takes proactive approach in all job responsibilities Demonstrates strong work ethic Overview of St.
