The instructor will plan and lead engaging physical education classes while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy habits. They are responsible for maintaining a safe environment, assessing student progress, and collaborating with faculty to support school initiatives.

Position Summary

Central/YUHSG seeks a High School Physical Education Teacher to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits in a structured and supportive environment. This role helps students build confidence, develop skills, and understand the value of lifelong wellness.

Position Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead engaging physical education classes aligned with curriculum goals
  • Teach a range of fitness activities, sports, and health-related concepts
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal responsibility
  • Ensure a safe, well-managed environment during all activities
  • Assess student participation and progress
  • Differentiate activities to support varying skill levels and abilities
  • Communicate with students, families, and colleagues as needed
  • Collaborate with faculty and participate in school initiatives

Experience & Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience working with high school students preferred
