The instructor will deliver theory, clinical, and laboratory instruction to vocational nursing students while maintaining accurate student records and evaluations. They will also serve as a liaison between clinical sites and the college, ensuring compliance with Texas Board of Nursing regulations.
Candidates must hold a current and unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas. A minimum of three years of varied nursing experience since graduation is required.

Job Summary The Vocational Nursing Program is seeking qualified individuals to teach theory, clinical and/or laboratory courses. Within the guidelines of the Texas Board of Nursing and Blinn College, the faculty shall understand and be willing to promote and support the mission and goals of Blinn College and the Vocational Nursing Program. The faculty shall perform administrative duties, classroom/laboratory instruction, and other duties as assigned. The faculty will consist of a registered nurse who has graduated from an accredited program and is in “good standing” with the Texas Board of Nursing.
Current and unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.
1. Must have been actively employed in nursing for the past three (3) years or have advanced preparation in nursing, nursing education, and/or nursing administration. Must have three (3) years of varied nursing experience since graduation. 2. Must be able to stand and walk extended amounts of time in clinicals, labs, and when teaching.
Preferred Qualifications: Registered Nurse
Prior teaching experience. Knowledge of the vocational nursing curriculum and instructional methodology and techniques; Knowledge of the Texas administrative code part 11, chapter 214, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Guidelines for Instructional Programs in Workforce Education.
