About the role

The instructor will be responsible for teaching beginning and intermediate Spanish courses. They are expected to use a variety of teaching methods and instructional technology.

The Department of World Languages at Calvin University invites applications for part-time instruction in the area of beginning and intermediate Spanish. The appointment will be for Fall 2026 and/or Spring 2027.

Requirements

· A master’s degree or above in Spanish Linguistics, Spanish Literature, Second Language Acquisition, English as a Second Language or related field is required; applicants who also have five or more years of experience in higher education will be preferred. · All applicants must demonstrate the potential to teach effectively using a variety of methods and instructional technology as required. · A commitment to the Christian faith is essential. Candidates are expected to affirm the Apostle’s Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.
