Ex Ed Educational Assistant

The educational assistant provides teaching support and services under the direction of a licensed special education teacher to implement individual education programs. Responsibilities include assisting with instructional materials, monitoring student behavior, performing physical care, and maintaining data collection for student progress.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged and either 48 semester hours, an associate's degree, or a passing score on the praxis parapro exam. One year of experience working with students with disabilities is preferred, along with a willingness to be trained in crisis intervention.
