Core responsibilities
The behavioral technician provides one-On-One and small group instruction using applied behavior analysis (Aba) techniques to support students with autism. They are also responsible for collecting behavioral data, mentoring new staff, and assisting with daily living activities such as feeding and toileting.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold at least an associate degree or 48 semester hours of post-Secondary education. A registered behavior technician (Rbt) certification is required or must be obtained within 120 days of employment.
