This role supports spiritual growth, Biblical understanding, and Christ-centered character development for students in grades K4–2. Key Responsibilities Academics: Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, standards-aligned Bible instruction for K4–2nd students, using high-quality materials, effective teaching practices, and a balanced approach to Scripture study, discussion, reflection, and application. Foster Biblical understanding, spiritual growth, and discipleship through engaging and interactive lessons that help students connect God’s Word to their daily lives and develop a personal relationship with Christ. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, providing whole-group, small-group, and individualized support while using standards and student learning data to guide planning and adjust instruction. Monitor, assess, and document student learning using formative and summative assessments to track spiritual and academic growth, inform instructional decisions, and support students’ faith development. Contribute to school-wide events, chapel services, and faith-based initiatives, actively supporting the school’s mission and helping cultivate a Christ-centered community. Classroom Environment and Student Relationships Integrate character education and/or faith-based values into daily lessons. Create and maintain a caring, loving, organized, and nurturing classroom environment. Manage classroom behavior in a consistent and effective manner, promoting courage, respect, integrity, and perseverance through the development and maintenance of positive relationships with students. Serve as the cultural and spiritual model for their students, always interacting respectfully and striving to demonstrate God’s love to their students and families. Effectively communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, behavior, and needs. Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students. Professionalism Be open to coaching and feedback to continuously improve teaching practices and support positive student outcomes. Participate in ongoing professional development to implement instruction using high quality materials. Collaborate as a team player and proactively offer solutions as challenges arise throughout the school year. Collaborate with colleagues, instructional aides, and support staff to enhance student learning. Work collaboratively and supportively with colleagues, supervisors, students, parents/guardians, and community members, maintaining positive, solution-oriented relationships that foster a strong, inclusive environment for optimal learning. Continuously seek professional growth through building and department meetings/professional development, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars/in-services. Serve as a role model for students by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and positive behavior. Remain open-minded to professional growth and actively engage in the school community as we continue to grow and evolve over the coming years. Schoolwide Support and Supervision Lead and support with weekly Chapel and Worship. Bible Teacher will teach all 20 sections of K4 - 2 grade students, 4 grade levels with 5 sections of each grade level. Monitor and support students during morning arrival, lunch, recess and dismissal. Bachelor's Degree in education, theology or related field, including any other requirements for accreditation, (Master’s degree a plus). State teaching license preferred but not required. A minimum of 3 years experience in teaching/ministry. Experience leading and engaging students in worship. Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of Biblical studies and ability to teach age-appropriate lessons across multiple grade levels. A passion to share the gospel and a gift for evangelism. Strong understanding of early childhood and elementary instructional practices. Ability to plan lessons aligned to state standards and school expectations. Strong classroom management skills rooted in positive, age-appropriate discipline. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Active participation in a Christian church. Effective oral and written communication skills Skilled in planning and preparation, and organization development; able to balance a focus on big picture priorities while not losing sight of the school goals and objectives.
