The teacher will instruct high school students in Bible and biblically related subjects while serving as a Christian role model. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, evaluating student progress, and participating in school-wide activities and retreats.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Religious Studies or a related field and possess a clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ. Previous teaching experience is desired, along with the ability to lead co-curricular activities.

General Description of
Teach courses in Bible and biblically related subjects to students from 9 through 12 grades. In addition to general classes, may teach specific courses such as Worldview & Ethics, Life of Christ, and How to Study the Bible. Essential Job Requirements Teaches content and skills in Bible utilizing course of study adopted by Jupiter Christian School. Adapts Bible material and methods to develop relevant sequential assignments that guide and challenge students. Determines instructional materials designed to achieve instructional goals and behavioral objectives. Selects books and instructional aids appropriate to the interest and maturity level of students. Provides individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student. Develops standards for critical analysis through group discussions. Encourages students to think independently and to express original ideas. Evaluates each student's progress. Establishes and maintains with cooperation of the school administration standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment. Requisitions books, instructional aids, and instructional supplies, and maintains required inventory records, Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs within the school Attend after school divisional meetings, all-school meetings, and/or parent conferences as scheduled by administration Attend division retreats (if applicable) Serve as coordinator or chaperone for R.E.A.C.H. Week activities (High School faculty) Attend select evening school activities (ie. Parent/Teacher Conferences) Provide guided practice before or after school (2 x’s / week, High School faculty) Serve as an Advisory group leader and attend all training sessions (High School faculty).
Spiritual Must have a clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior Please check the school's website (www.jupiterchristian.org) regarding personal faith alignment to the JCS statement of Faith Must be able to demonstrate active membership and involvement in a local church Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies, Biblical Education, or similar program Preferred: Masters from accredited seminary Experience Relevant and rich teaching experiences desired Ability to coach athletic teams or lead co-curricular activities is desired All faculty members are expected to participate as either leaders or sponsors of at least one co-curricular activity.
