The resident physician participates in an organized post-Graduate educational program involving direct patient care and increasing responsibility under attending supervision. They also assist in teaching medical students and perform surgical procedures to develop clinical and surgical skills.

Candidates must be graduates of an approved college of podiatric medicine with a minimum 3.0 gpa and have passed parts 1 and 2 of the nbopme. Additionally, applicants must hold current bls and acls certifications and register with the florida board of podiatric medicine.
