Position Summary

To work collaboratively with students individually and/or in group situations to develop effective learning techniques while improving content mastery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tutoring scheduled hours for drop in and appointment-based tutoring for subject
  • Maintain accurate records of all tutorial sessions
  • Must attend pre-semester training and 1x monthly tutor training sessions through Academic Achievement
  • Promote tutoring services and communicate tutoring times to the department/classes/students
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Faculty Recommendation required
  • Must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Able to interact with a variety of individuals in a professional, tactful and courteous manner
  • Have strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community
