Job description
- The Teacher Aide supports the Lead and Assistant Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 6 weeks to 34 months.
- This role assists with daily classroom operations and provides break coverage while ensuring compliance with Arkansas Child Care Licensing Requirements and NAEYC Accreditation Standards.
- This position works under direct supervision and does not assume primary responsibility for a classroom.
- Engage with children through positive interactions, modeling appropriate behavior and language.
- Help prepare, maintain, and clean learning materials and classroom environments.
- Provide classroom coverage to allow teaching staff to take required breaks or time off.
- Follow established classroom routines and schedules to ensure continuity of care.
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff regarding children's needs, routines, and transitions.
- Maintain consistency in caregiving practices across classrooms.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive and nurturing environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility in supporting multiple classrooms as needed.
- Greet families in a professional and respectful manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
