Assist special education teachers in providing individualized instruction and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs). Monitor student progress, participate in behavior intervention strategies, and help maintain a positive classroom environment.
Teacher Assistant – KVC Academy Cuba - Day Treatment Program
KVC Academy is seeking compassionate and dedicated Teacher Assistants to support students with special educational and behavioral needs. In this role, you'll work alongside teachers and clinical staff to create a positive learning environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
What You'll Do
Support students in the classroom and during daily activities.
Assist teachers with instructional and behavioral interventions.
Help implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and maintain documentation.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff.
Employees required to obtain a Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate must do so within 60 days of hire. Failure to obtain certification within this timeframe will result in separation of employment in accordance with Missouri requirements.

Basic math skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, and measurements.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment when carrying out written and verbal instructions.
