The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons while fostering a safe, nurturing, and faith-centered environment for children. They also provide daily guidance to an Assistant Teacher and manage classroom activities to support social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Candidates must possess a CDA credential or an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. Applicants are also required to be professing Christians with experience working with young children and strong classroom leadership skills.
The Lead Teacher creates a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom where young children grow socially, emotionally, cognitively, physically, and spiritually. The Lead Teacher also provides day-to-day guidance to an Assistant Teacher and works under the supervision of the Preschool Director. Key Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate preschool lessons Teach school readiness skills in a structured, loving environment Integrate Bible teaching and Christian values in an age-appropriate way Supervise and collaborate with an Assistant Teacher Maintain a safe, healthy, and well-organized classroom Provide positive guidance and classroom management Develop and manage learning centers and activities Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual growth Participate in meetings, parent communication, and scheduled events Complete required training and maintain confidentiality Schedule & Work Environment Part-time position (schedule discussed during interview) Classroom size limited to no more than 20 children with Assistant Teacher support Supportive, mission-driven Christian preschool setting How to Apply Interested candidates are encouraged to apply via the link below and submit their resume.
