The teacher assistant performs instructional tasks and provides direct supervision to ensure the health and safety of children in a classroom environment. They assist in planning developmentally appropriate activities and maintain accurate records regarding attendance, meals, and child observations.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged and have one to three months of related experience or training. A valid driver's license is required, and the successful applicant must obtain a cda credential within two years of employment.
