Market context
In Cumberland County, demand for alternate-route candidates is typically tied to district staffing needs in hard-to-fill subject areas such as world languages, ESL, bilingual education, and core subjects. These roles can be competitive because candidates must already be pursuing NJDOE certification through the Alternate Route pathway and may need the right endorsement fit for a specific opening.
