Special Ed Classroom Assistant

The special education classroom assistant supports teachers in reinforcing learning concepts and providing one-On-One tutoring for students with various disabilities. They also assist with personal hygiene, physical positioning, and maintaining written records of student behavior.

Candidates must possess a valid tasn (Nclb) paraprofessional license from the illinois state board of education. This requires at least 60 semester hours of college credit or successful completion of a paraprofessional exam.
