Core responsibilities
The ems educator is responsible for coordinating ems courses, including classroom and lab instruction, student supervision, and evaluation of learning. They also act as a liaison between the resource hospital and ems providers while assisting with performance improvement projects and disaster drills.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold a bls certification and either a registered nursing license or an unrestricted emt-P license. At least three years of ems or ecrn experience and one year of teaching experience are required.
