  • Purpose: - The Summer Tech Program Instructor at Gary Comer Youth Center is responsible for delivering engaging and educational technology-based programs to youth participants during the summer session. The role involves designing curriculum, leading classes, and inspiring students to explore and develop their skills in various technology fields, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Responsibilities: - Develop and implement a comprehensive technology curriculum tailored to the interests and skill levels of youth participants. - Lead and facilitate interactive and hands-on technology workshops and classes, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning experience. - Inspire and motivate students to explore technology and develop their skills in areas such as coding, robotics, and digital media. - Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance their learning experience. - Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded program offering. - Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and respect among all participants. - Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and program activities. - Assist in organizing and participating in program-related events and showcases to highlight student achievements. - Ensure all program activities comply with organizational policies and procedures, promoting a positive representation of the Gary Comer Youth Center.
