Position Summary

Assist in the operations of the nursing lab.

This is a summer position, with the opportunity for the position to continue into the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open, close, secure, and prepare labs for student practice during evening and weekend hours
  • Maintain lab cleanliness and readiness, including end-of-day cleanup and scheduled cleaning
  • Support students during open lab hours as a resource for practice needs
  • Set up and tear down labs for simulations, assessments, test-outs, remediation, and instructional activities
  • Clean, sanitize, dispose of, or re-shelve lab equipment, linens, gowns, mannequins, and supplies
  • Organize, pull, restock, inventory, and recommend replacement of lab supplies as needed
  • Communicate with and assist faculty, staff, and students as needed
  • Maintain and update required documentation
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications

  • Current nursing student at Term 2 or above
  • Able to interact with a variety of individuals in a professional, tactful and courteous manner
  • Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community
