EMS Internship, Emergency Dept.

This internship provides clinical students with practical work experience in the emergency department, emphasizing patient-Centered care and exposure to emerging healthcare concepts. Interns will perform patient care needs under the direction of an ed rn and ed tech 2, and successful completion may lead to consideration for ed tech positions.

Candidates must have successfully completed an emr program and must be enrolled in the emt program at swic before the internship begins. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with 1-2 years of healthcare experience, and basic life support (Bls) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
