If you believe music is not a performance—but a language children use to think, express, and connect—we invite you to apply. This is not a performance-based music role—it is relational, reflective, and rooted in children’s thinking.

We are seeking a full-time Music Teacher & Assistant Teacher to weave music into the daily life of the classroom while supporting children and teachers across the school.

This is a fully integrated role—both offering music experiences and supporting classroom life with children infants through 5 years of age.

Qualifications

  • Background in early childhood, music, or related field
  • Experience with young children (infants/toddlers preferred)
  • Open to or experienced in Reggio Emilia
  • Must meet Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families requirements (background check, MERIT, STARS)
  • Able to work respectfully in both non-sectarian and Christian school environments

  • Schedule & physical requirements
  • Full-time, 35 hours - 40 hours/week (Mon–Fri, between 7:30am–5:45pm)
  • Active role: must be able to work with young children (infants–5 years), including kneeling, squatting, lifting, and floor-based engagement
