The position involves triaging student clients, assessing risk, and coordinating clinical service hours for staff and trainees. It also requires managing clinical records, scheduling, and maintaining front office operations in compliance with privacy regulations.
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma with five years of experience or an associate degree with three years of experience. The role requires the ability to handle crisis situations, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively within a university counseling environment.
High school graduation and five years of related experience involving progressive responsible duties requiring discretion and independent judgment or Associate’s Degree and three years of related experience or a combination of higher education and related experience equal to five years Ability to adjust and prioritize in continually changing work environment. Willingness to do what is needed to get the job done in response to student client emergencies (e.g. staying late on a weekday, rescheduling a lunch). Willingness to take campus-sponsored work-related short courses. Understanding of programming terminology and familiarity with computer-based procedures. Experience in public relations, marketing, telecommunications or electronics as specified by department. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the general public. Work experience in a college/university environment.
Associate's degree. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Experience in a mental health setting. One year of experience in clerical/office support work, or specialized training/higher education, or any combination of experience and additional training equal to one year. Experience at a mental health setting. Effective written and oral communication skills.
