The Behavior Technician provides one-on-one therapeutic support to children with autism in home or clinic settings. Responsibilities include implementing individualized service plans, collecting behavioral data, and coordinating with families and Behavior Analysts.
Eligibility to pass the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam Reliable personal cell phone for communication Reliable transportation Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Valid Driver’s License Valid Car Insurance Bachelor's degree in human services or related field OR High School Diploma OR GED ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Implement daily therapeutic activities under the direct supervision and delegation of a Behavior Analyst. Implement Individualized Service Plans with clients and client families/caregivers as delegated by a Behavior Analyst. Pass and obtain the RBT certification. Coordinate with other service providers working with clients to encourage consistency among client families/caregivers and all providers. Communicate with families/caregivers within their scope of practice. Complete all required documentation including behavioral data, daily notes, and weekly billing records in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure all documentation on assigned clients meet Medicaid and other federal, state, or BACB required regulations. Develop program materials and ensure appropriate materials are available during client sessions. Participate in supervision on a weekly basis with a Behavior Analyst or Assistant Behavior Analyst to discuss client updates, progress, or concerns. Attend and participate in all scheduled staff meetings and trainings. Provide transportation of client as needed as part of natural environment sessions. Adhere to all policies and procedures and complete other tasks deemed necessary for the successful operation of the program. Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times.
